A.R.S.E. - Always Remember Speak English.

Soooo, we arrived here in Leon (Spain) a few days ago to stay with our auntie Maria and it was bloody freezing! So after a hot cuppa and wrapping up in numerous layers we headed out for a look around the beauiful city. After seeing the cathedral we walked back for an early night as we had no sleep the night before (apart from snoozing on the uncomfortable airport benches!) However it turned out to be a late night afterall. Maria has some very interesting pets- Ivan (the talking dog), Midge (the tea drinking ferret) and Oscar (the 'quiet' cat who meows ALOT whenever Maria goes out!).

First thing we found out- English is not really spoken over here, HUGE speaking barrier but luckily Maria is fluent in Spanish!

All was perfect until Maria had to leave us in the town so she could go to teach... We wondered round looking for a cafe to get some lunch but for some reason most places were closed. After trekking round for almost an hour we found a nice place to eat, however we didn't know a word of spanish! Thankfully the waiter brought us over an English version of the menu, WOOHOO! Now with happy belly's we are enjoying a coffee and free wifi session:)
